Editing
We offer four different levels of editing, from a basic, quick edit up to a thorough in-depth edit requiring specialist knowledge.
Level 1
This is the most basic level, and consists of a spelling and punctuation check, and the correction of only the more glaring language errors.
Level 2
In addition to spelling and punctuation, we check grammar and idiom. The result is a well-written, readable document. This is a ‘light edit’.
Level 3
Here we also attend to style, sentence structure and the coherence of the argument or exposition. This is a more intensive process and results in a well-structured document that meets the highest standards.
Level 4
At this level, in addition to providing structural or substantive editing, we will ensure that your document conforms to particular in-house styles or conventions of documentation. This applies in particular to academic articles and theses.
At whatever level, we will assess the document (based on a sample of at least 600 words, or on the entire document) and interact with you, the client, to ensure that you receive the kind of assistance that is appropriate to your needs.
Please Note: We can deliver final edited documents in a variety of formats, including the PDF format and Microsoft Word format, with "Track Changes" if necessary.
